The rumor has been in the air for a while but now more sources seem to be confirming the fact that Apple has plans to launch a Tablet device in January 2010.

The folks at Boy Genius Report have a claim that the new Tablet device by Apple will come with a 7-inch display, though other sources also seem to claim that there might be a 10-inch model in the works.

On the other side, a report on NYTimes suggests that the new Tablet device will offer a very unique and unusual mode of interaction that might be much beyond touch and voice control.

Apple also seems to have been asking a few of the key developers to update their apps such that it can be run on a higher-resolution than the one currently available on the iPhone. This coincides with the early rumor that the Apple Tablet device will be powered by a OS similar to the iPhoneOS.
