Philips OLED Mirrorwall

25 February 2010 109 views No Comment

Philips Mirrorwall seems to be an interesting mirror and it’s made up of hundreds of OLED panels. What this OLED Mirrorwall does is simply to mimic your movements and shows them on its screen. And it costs an amazingly huge price of £158k but it does nothing more than a regular mirror does, except it shows your reflection in monochrome pixelated form.

The Philips Mirrorwall has over hundreds of Philips Lumiblade OLED lighting panels linked together and a camera to capture your movement in front of it. It then displays the captured movements as a surreal and monochrome “reflection” on the screen, which shows you exactly what you’re doing in front of it.

The Philips Mirrorwall is only practical at some high-tech companies, shopping malls or museums, where you need a big display to attract the visitors. Random International is the company that can provide such an installation for this Philips Mirrorwall. You can get them to install one for your home if you’re rich enough to do so. Watch the clip below for how it works.
